Phillip Anzalone, AIA

Phillip founded aa64 with advanced technology, processes and materials as cornerstones to his architectural practice. Shaped by his work as an exterior envelope consultant with R.A. Heintges & Associates and as a designer with Greg Lynn Form, he takes on an innovative approach to design challenges rooted in real world applicability. Phillip actively bridges research with practice as he engages as Director of the Laboratory for Applied Building Science at the Graduate School of Architecture at Columbia University. 

Phillip also spearheads professional and academic forums including an international Think Tank series as part of Columbia University’s Building Intelligence Project and global design + fabrication workshops at GSAPP's StudioX. He is the Founding Director of the Certification of Professional Achievement in Applied Building Science.  Phillip has also participated in numerous research projects including NYSERDA, DOE, NSF and industry-funded projects, and holds a patents for advanced structural system construction techniques.

He holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and a B.P.S. in Architecture from SUNY Buffalo, with a minor in Business Administration. He is a registered architect in the State of New York.

Stephanie Bayard

Stephanie has been with AA64 since its founding, having previously worked for Bernard Tschumi Architects and internationally in Milan, Paris and New York. She has taught at Parsons The New School for Design, Ohio State University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is currently a professor for design studios and housing seminars at Pratt Institute’s Graduate Architecture + Urban Design Program. She received her Architecture Diploma with distinction from Paris La Villette, France, and her MsAAD from Columbia University.
